    粤语词序的问题

"Chinese Operas and Chinese Dialects: A Brief Introduction"
The Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Standard Spoken and Written Chinese Language was adopted on 31 October 2000 and put into effect on 1 January 2001. Two decades later, Xinhua (2021) announced that “[a]bout 80.72 percent of China’s population spoke Putonghua, or Mandarin Chinese, in 2020, up 27.66 percentage points from 2000.” The rapid increase in ability to use Putonghua also has its downside insofar as its promulgation has led, correspondingly, to a rapid decline in the use of local Chinese dialects, especially among the younger generation.
Traditional Chinese opera, especially regional opera, provides one of the few avenues approved by the Chinese government for the use of Chinese dialects in the public arena, viewable in live performances and ubiquitous online. This rich heritage is introduced through a college-level Chinese opera course.

    沪语的音调是学习时的难点,也是沪语中最有意思的部分,除了可以用音高来定音之外,音准也是学好的关键。既然这样,何不用钢琴来定音呢?

“From Humanities to Digital Humanities: Cantonese studies in the big data era”
    (Lectorium:https://t.me/+WA09nhkk7FYwY2Iy)
Digital technology has created a significant impact on traditional humanities studies, and the term "Digital Humanities" was coined to reflect this new trend. This talk will discuss, by means of a Cantonese digital archive developed at EdUHK, how Cantonese studies can be undertaken with the digital humanities approach. The data of the one-million-character archive was obtained by transcribing the dialogues of 80 Cantonese movies produced in Hong Kong in the mid-20th century. The archive not only documents, preserves, and revitalizes Cantonese, but also allows us to explore the inter-relationship between language, society and culture.

Topic: “Languages and Identities in Shanghainese Digital Media”
This presentation will analyze representative characters in Shanghainese digital media through the lens of their language usages. The language choices they make, whether to speak the Shanghai dialect, Shanghainese-accented Mandarin or the standard Mandarin, reflect how they want to identify themselves. For example, the non-local saleswoman, Wang Manni in the TV show sānshí ér yǐ 三十而已(“Nothing but Thirties”) speaks Shanghainese accented Mandarin to please her customers and to fit in better.

Most of my work focuses on phonological theory, and Suzhou Chinese has been my main source of linguistic data. I am born and raised in Suzhou, and learned the local variety as a second dialect (after Mandarin Chinese).
“Sociolinguistics of Suzhou Chinese: Sound Change, Language Preservation & Revitalization“
In this presentation I will briefly describe three major sociolinguistic topic concerning Suzhou Chinese (蘇州話,蘇州方言,蘇州閒話): the recent sound change over living generations, major language policies influencing the usage of the language, and recent revitalization and preservation attempts. The presentation will be 20-30 minutes long.
