The article is devoted to the analysis of the methodology of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in China and Russia at the present stage. The article discusses the main methodological approaches and provides a comparison of the main textbooks. It also highlights the main difficulties of the Chinese language that teachers and students inevitably face.
