The article is devoted to the study of the history of development and artistic features of the Peking propaganda poster, which from1949 to 1976 held a dominant position in the art of the poster of the People’s Republic of China. At present, when the propaganda poster of the era Mao Zedong passed from the tool of ideology and propaganda to the Chinese Communist Party, the impartial and objective study of its evolution, characteristics and place in the history of Chinese art is relevant.
