Три южных города: очерки истории / Three southern cities: sketches of history

Статья содержит краткие очерки истории трёх городов, представляющих собой важные точки на карте южного Китая — морских портов Гонконга (Сянгана) и Сямэня (Амоя), а также важнейшего города на Янцзы — Сучжоу. Хотя все эти города относятся к южному Китаю, на самом деле различного у них гораздо больше, чем общего, и это немало говорит о Китае как таковом.

The paper comprises three short sketches about history of three cities representing important points on the Southern China’s map: sea harbors of Hong Kong (Xianggang) and Xiamen (Amoy), and one of the most interesting cities on Yangtse river — Suzhou. All of them belongs to Southern China, but actually their differences clearly surpasses their common points — and it’s by itself draws an important image of China.

本文包括三个代表华南地图重要点的三个城市的简史：香港和厦门，以及长江上最重要的城市之一—苏州。虽然它们都属于中国南方，但实际上它们之间的差异明显超出了它们的共同点—这本身就给中国画上了一个重要的形象。
