Китай в годы Русско-японской войны (по страницам газеты "Кубанские областные ведомости») / China during the Russo-Japanese War through the eyes of a local Russian newspaper

В статье представлены результаты анализа публикаций газеты «Кубанские областные ведомости», издававшейся в г. Екатеринодар в начале XX в. Для изучения были выбраны заметки, в которых нашла отражение характеристика Китайской империи и ее жителей, данная россиянами, оказавшимися на Востоке в период русско-японской войны. Отдельные заметки составлены на основе писем кубанских казаков, участвовавших в военных действиях, и статей из столичных газет. На основе представленных материалов автор характеризует взаимное восприятия представителей Российской империи и Китая.

The article presents the overview of the publications on the Russo-Japanese War from the local Russian newspaper «Kubanskie oblastnye vedomosti» («Kuban Regional News»). The author tries to piece together a picture of the life of the Chinese empire and its inhabitants during the period of 1904–1905, using the information from the newspaper. The publications that mention China complied on the basis of either the letters from Kuban Cossacks who were sent to fight at the East or the articles reprinted from metropolitan newspapers. It is concluded that the image of China created by the participants of the war was rather unattractive.

本文介绍了俄罗斯地方报纸《库班斯基州韦多莫斯蒂》（库班地区新闻）关于日俄战争的出版物概况。作者试图用报纸上的资料，拼凑出一幅1904-1905年间中华帝国及其居民的生活图景。提到中国的出版物要么是根据库班哥萨克派往东方作战的信件，要么是从首都报纸转载的文章。根据提交的材料，作者描述了俄罗斯帝国和中国代表的相互理解。
