The article provides a rationale for a set of principles for teaching the pronunciation side of speech in Chinese, designed to optimize the process of forming phonological competence in students studying it in the context of educational trilingualism - in an educational context where the native (Russian), the first foreign language studied at school (English ), and Chinese.
