Russian Orthodox spiritual mission in Beijing as a scientific center for the study of Chinese legal culture

Статья посвящена вкладу участников Российской православной духовной миссии в Пекине в изучение правовой культуры Китая. Православная миссия являлась не только религиозным учреждением, но единственным в мире научным центром по изучению государства и права традиционного Китая. Автор считает, что внимание к этой тематике было определено стремлением России налаживать с Китаем добрососедские политические и торгово-экономические отношения.

The article is devoted to the contribution of participants of the Russian Orthodox spiritual mission in Beijing to the study of the legal culture of China. The Orthodox mission was not only a religious institution, but the only scientific center in the world for the study of state and law of traditional China. The author believes that attention to this topic was determined by the desire of Russia to establish good-neighborly political, trade and economic relations with China.

本文旨在探讨北京俄罗斯东正教精神使团的参与者对中国法律文化研究的贡献。东正教精神使团不仅是一个宗教机构，而且是世界上研究中国传统国家和法律的唯一科学中心。笔者认为，对这一话题的关注是由俄罗斯希望与中国建立睦邻政治、贸易和经济关系的愿望决定的。
