The relevance of the problem is due to the increased demands on the quality of teaching foreign languages, including Chinese, the need to apply modern, interactive technologies and teaching methods into the educational process. The purpose of the article is to study the new format of learning through virtual reality and the MOOCs, to project it on learning foreign languages, including Chinese. The leading approaches to the study of this problem are the system-structural approach and comparative-comparative analysis. The main result of the research is the identification of positive and negative factors of the use of virtual reality and electronic educational resources in the educational process, including teaching foreign languages. The study also considered the possibility of the MOOC and virtual reality technology using in teaching Chinese process. Article materials can be helpful for teachers and methodologists who use innovative teaching methods in their work.
