The article analyzes modern Chinese painting - a seascape, or marina. The process of forming aesthetic consciousness in relation to marine painting can be generalized as an aesthetic feeling - an aesthetic standard - an aesthetic concept. In contemporary art studies, it is more appropriate to consider the genre of «Shan Shui» in the context of the history of painting. The breadth of the landscape image far exceeds other genres of fine art in China and most often includes all their elements.
