The article examines theme of the city in the lyrics of Lee Yanling. Collective images of Russian and Chinese cities and images of the Blagoveshchensk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Voronezh, Chita, Tynda, Harbin, Beijing, Hong Kong, Beyan naturally coexist in the author‟s poetic world. They are inhabited by collective characters and repleted with urban landscape and realities of life. Since the poet appeals to the period of the disruption of the USSR, in poems about Russian cities there is on the one hand the motive of poverty and hunger, on the other hand - the motive of rebirth. In addition, the Lee Yanling‟s urban poems implicitly (through culture and art) or explicitly (through the empathy of the lyrical hero to Russian citizens) have the idea of consolidation friendly relations between Russia and China.
